While working on her bachelor’s degree, Melanie began her journey with Communities In Schools of Federal Way-Highline as an intern at Kilo Middle School. She proudly completed her degree in Social Welfare from University of Washington Tacoma and now fills the roll of School Outreach Coordinator. Born and raised in Tacoma Washington, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family in her free time. Melanie is excited to be a part of the CIS team and looks forward to becoming an advocate for students while finding new ways to engage.
